It's here it's here!
My contributor's copy arrived today! The Small Beer Press Working Writer's Day Planner is an awesome resource for writers, including information about grants, submission deadlines, markets, writing prompts, and interviews. That's my photo "Bug Season" in the middle left of the cover pictured above; this photo, and two others of mine, are included inside the planner.

My first photographic work in print! I'm proud that any work of mine has been published by Small Beer Press; that's the dream, kids, that's the dream. At the moment I don't have any writing that's worthy of submitting to them; maybe someday. In the meantime, this.

  this is where (some of) the magic happens

Day 212 of 365.

I had to include this photo because it encapsulates a really great experience I had. Trust me to take weeks to blog about it.

Anyway, Small Beer Press out of Massachusetts is my favorite small press; they put out excellent books and the fine literary 'zine Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet. So, these people are rock stars in my book. I made a point to visit the Small Beer Press office in Easthampton, MA this summer.

I was pleased to meet Jedediah Berry , editor at Small Beer Press and author of the excellent book The Manual of Detection . Not only was he kind enough to give my crew & I the tour, but he also joined us for lunch and lively conversation.

So, that was a really good day for me.

And, my photography will be in the 2011 edition of their Working Writer's Daily Planner . Thrilling!
