Day 17 of 365.
We had a fabulous brunch with friends today; the food, the company, fabulous! But I think it's even more fabulous that my friends have this hippo sitting in their living room. Cheers!

Day 16 of 365.
Chilly weather, and waking up to snow. If you follow the photostream back to flickr, you may see evidence of a really awesome dinner at Lola's with some great friends.
Now, Dr. Nick & I rock the living room, firing up the dj gear and playing whatever we want.

Day 13 of 365.
The lyrics of the Cure song "Friday I'm in Love" are as follows:
'I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's Gray
and Wednesday too'
but today totally foiled my follow-up to Tuesday's Gray.
Clouds & trees, so different from yesterday.
I don't really mind.

Day 10 of 365.
Some days the weather doesn't cooperate, and you don't get much in the way of good light and have no way to make your own. Today was like that.

Day 9 of 365.
My mother-in-law's new sculpture friend for her garden. This is what you'd see when he reaches for you.
... or pods of some sort at any rate. Just took a long walk with the dog, the mother-in-law, and the mild weather. There's nothing to complain about today. We're all pretty quietly content.

Day 6 of 365.
A rainy day. Most of today's photos were as unremarkable and boring as the day. Then, I noticed the Blenko Glass pitcher on the kitchen table ...

... but very relaxing. Here's Day #3 of 365. The most exciting thing that happened today in the outernet is that we went to the hardware store, and to Panera Bread Company, and I'm making rye bread. Woo. I spent most of the morning reading my enjoyable fluffy Charlaine Harris vampire novel ( From Dead to Worse ) while Nick did cryptograms. I still haven't seen TrueBlood. One of these days I'll get around to it.
Still no bugs bursting from my forehead, but there was a spider on my ankle in the shower this morning. I think that was unrelated.
Here's #2 of 365. I walked along the river for about half an hour, in an area where I don't usually walk. I liked the sky reflecting in the Kanawha River in this one, although I was tempted to post a different picture. But, that's the joyful part of this - for each day I'll try to post a pic I took that very same day, but there are no rules saying I can't post more than one just for the fun of it :)
A lazy day. I'm a bit under the weather, fighting off some kind of something - I can tell from the swollen glands and the lethargy. I have weird bumps on my forehead - maybe an allergic reaction? Anyway, of course my first thought was that I have forehead cancer; the second thought is that the lumps will fuse together and eventually birth white bugs or spiders, like in the book The Talisman by Peter Straub & Stephen King.
Will strange bugs come bursting from my forehead? Stay tuned!
