Semi-Professional Muse for Hire: Reasonable Rates

October's decided to turn it up to 11. This kind of weather rocks my argyle socks. If only Jillian fair were here to also rock (in argyle socks) with me.

(Jillian fair, for the unknowing, is my best friend. She has purple hair and is an astronomy PhD student, and she now lives with her beloved in an apartment somewhere I know not (in Seattle), and they do things like play frisbee, go to natural history museums, and attend readings by Neil Gaiman. Oh, and she calls me up and leaves voicemails in which she meows popular tunes. I heart Jillian.)

But I'm not despondent. The Sunday Blues that actually engulfed Monday and Tuesday have dissipated, thanks mostly to N, who went above and beyond the call of duty by providing some cuddling time.

When I am daunted, I remember that I'm doing something that hasn't been done before. But then, I get daunted by the pressure of doing something that hasn't been done before.

The only thing for it is to start.

I ordered a burgundy teapot, so that I can start having teaparties again. Starting on October 22.

I have another (monthly) DJ gig this Friday. I'm pretty excited about that.
